Coal tar preparations: how to take it safely

What it is for
Treats psoriasis, eczema and scalp scaling and dandruff.
How to take it
Apply to the affected skin, or lather the shampoo into the scalp and leave for a few minutes, then rinse.
When to take it
Use it once to a few times a week, or as the label says.

Not applicable.
What to avoid
- Getting it in your eyes or on broken skin.
- Strong sunlight on treated skin.
- Staining clothes and light hair. Wash hands after.
- Long-term use without advice.
Possible side effects
Skin irritation, a strong smell, skin staining.
