Malathion lotion: how to take it safely

What it is for
Treats head lice.
How to take it
- Apply to dry hair and scalp. Leave for 12 hours or as the label says, then shampoo.
- Comb with a fine-toothed comb. Repeat after 7 days.
When to take it
Apply once, and repeat after 7 days.

Not applicable.
What to avoid
- Using it near the eyes or on broken skin.
- Using a hair dryer, as the lotion can be flammable.
- Using it more often than directed.
Possible side effects
Scalp irritation, a strong smell.
