What it is for
Treats and prevents urine infections.
How to take it
- Prescription medicine: take it exactly as your doctor or pharmacist told you.
- Swallow with water.
- Finish the full course, even if you feel better.
When to take it
Take it twice or 4 times a day, as prescribed.
Take it with
With food, which helps absorption and reduces nausea.
What to avoid
- Stopping the course early.
- Sharing or saving leftover antibiotics.
- Tell your doctor if you have kidney problems.
- Pregnancy near the time of delivery, and babies under 3 months.
- Using it for long periods without checks.
Possible side effects
Nausea, loss of appetite, brown urine (harmless).
