Nystatin: how to take it safely

What it is for
Treats fungal infections of the mouth, throat and gut, such as oral thrush.
How to take it
- Hold the liquid in your mouth for a minute, swish around, then swallow.
- Keep using it for 2 days after symptoms clear.
When to take it
Take it 4 times a day, after food.
Take it with

What to avoid
- Stopping early.
- Eating or drinking straight after the dose.
Possible side effects
Nausea, loose stools, mouth irritation.
Get help if
Rash, swelling of the face, or no improvement after 7 days: see a doctor.
